Newsletter Options -- The Letters -- New Versions There is a lot of news about these newsletters. This "news" relates to how you subscribe, how you unsubscribe and other administrative details. I also plan my Golden Era of Retirement around researching, writing and publishing these Newsletters for the next 20 years -- at least -- from my present age of 75. For instance, in the navigation menu above there is an item called "Newsletter Options." When you click on that link it brings you to THIS page. That link is on every Newsletter I publish and brings you HERE where you can subscribe to any of the newsletters and learn more administrative details about this service. You can skip the remaining text and CLICK HERE for the form where you can subscribe to The Wednesday Letter.

When I started the "Newsletter" business I did them all in print -- and mailed them. Then I tried a FAX Newsletter for a short while. When I had developed many thousands of web pages I figured this was the time to send out an electronic newsletter. In the early years they were all called The Wednesday Letter -- they were published on the first Wednesday of every month. You can still see a list of all of them by CLICKING HERE. They are all still there -- for anyone to read. There were many more changes until some years later I switched to sending them EVERY WEDNESDAY. Then I changed the publishing service for sending these newsletters:
The newsletter service I was using changed so that my newsletter couldn't go out for a while. It took me one year to find and learn the new program, called "List Mail Pro." You can find them easily as a supplier of a program for managing an electronic newsletter. I've now decided to expand on the number of different Newsletters I publish. First the original Wednesday Letter -- with hundreds of editions over many years and up to 23,000 subscribers when I had to stop publishing. For now I will introduce two NEW Newsletters, each Newsletter will have its own subscription list. Gradually you will see, on this page, a description of a new Newsletter, such as the "Monday Letter" or the "Thursday Letter." Along with these new Newsletters there will be a place where you can SUBSCRIBE to that new newsletter. You can subscribe to any of several letters as this gets moving along. You will also then be able to unsubscribe from any or all of them. I now have enough subscriptions to each of these Letters that I send them out only to the people who have subscribed to them specifically. As of October 26, 2006 I have started sending out a weekly Thursday Letter -- one was sent to all subscribers to all my lists on October 25th, and then another was sent out, dated October 26th, to ONLY those who had subscribed by that time to the Thursday Letter. The Wednesday Letter will always be the original and probably the most central of my Letters. I'm still evolving the strategy on this -- partly it will depend on how many people sign up for these separate Letters. When you receive your newsletter it will usually be personalized to include your name. I could add, from time to time, your first and last name and your subscription eMail address. There is another feature on every newsletter == near the bottom of every page is a link that reads "View This Letter On The Web." This link, when you click it, goes to a page especially published just for you. For those whose eMail programs may block HTML eMails, or block anything with photos or other enhancements, there is a "plain text" alternate message. The alternate doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but will include a link so that you can click through to the edition that is a web page and therefore has all the features any web page can have. As of now I expect every one of my various Newsletters to feature a stylized representation of my signature, such as this:
Generally every one of my newsletters are created so that you can forward them as much as you like. Any person who is NOT on the subscription list can then subscribe to the letter because you sent it to him. Let's start. Here is the subscription form for The Wednesday Letter -- the original. It currently has 20,000+ subscribers. The masthead looks like this:

There is also a "navigational menu" on each Newsletter. I may change them from time to time, but the idea is that they will usually always point to the same pages -- they provide a convenient way of jumping to some of the most popular pages among my 100,000 pages on 50 different web sites. If you are not already subscribed to The Wednesday Letter, you can subscribe right here: New Subscription: The Wednesday Letter This is a subscription offer that works ONLY for someone who is not already subscribed. If you are not sure, just fill in the information above. You will get, first, a welcome message, asking you to "confirm" your subscription. After the program receives that "confirm" it then checks to see if the eMail address you have provided above is already in the list. If so, you'll then get a message telling you that. Note you can subscribe only when you provide a first and last name. If that eMail address is NOT in the list already, you will then get a "Thank You" message, telling you that you are now subscribed. The fact that you receive a Newsletter, yourself, means that the eMail address to which your Newsletter was sent IS IN THE LIST. You can, as you wish, send the letter to anyone -- that person can subscribe from the copy of the letter you send -- this will be true of all future Newsletters. I have also created Letter called The Thursday Letter This letter deals with diet and exercise. I have dealt with, and will still deal with these two subjects in the Wednesday Letter, butI have so much content available that it is easy to publish separate weekly Letters.
The image I'll be using, mostly, is of me in my Kung Fu uniform after some 18 months of classes and much exercise. In this image you may notice that I'm also wearing a Yellow Belt -- a sign of my achievements in this 75 year old body.
You can subscribe to The Thursday Letter right here, now. This request will NOT put your name into the subsciption list for The Wednesday Letter.
Along with my intense interest in heart disease and cancer, which impacted my family personally, I have had an interest in diet and exercise -- both of which have become very important in my life. The next Newsletter features yet another area of my great interest -- philosophy, truth and morality. I call this The Monday Letter. It has a masthead like this:
You can subscribe to The Monday Letter right here, now. The image for this newsletter is one that is very dear to me -- this IS me in the photo, believe it or not:
Yes, that is I, Karl Loren, floating in the air, in the desert, approaching a stone, also floating in the air. On one of my web sites you'll see an image of my hand MOVING. The Monday Letter promises to be the ONE LETTER where I will eventually spend the most time and offer what I expect will be my greatests messages. I also plan to produce The Friday Letter --- I know exactly what that will be all about, but am not ready to announce all those details -- I want to see the other Newsletters doing well as to the number of subscribers and comments back from subscibers.
Time will tell about The Friday Letter.
If you want to UNSUBSCRIBE from any list you must, first, be already SUBSCRIBED. If you are not sure, it is fine to UnSubsribe from any of the lists. If you are not in the list of subscribers, then the request for UnSubscribe will tell you that "no record was found."
How To UnSubscribe In order to prevent someone from UnSubscribing FOR you, there is a confirmation needed before the UnSubscribe action takes place. Once you click on UnSubscribe, above, you will get a message, sent to your eMail address, asking for you to CONFIRM the request. If you do not click on that "Confirm" button, you will NOT be UnSubscribed. You may receive reminders that you have not clicked on the "Confirm" button you get from a returned eMail -- from either a "SUBSCRIBE" request or a "UNSUBSCRIBE" request. I am planning to create several different Newsletters. I have them firmly in mind and will announce them in the months ahead -- making reference to them in The Wednesday Letter and also describing them on THIS page when they are ready for your subscription. You can if you wish, subscribe to one or more -- all free. You can also unsubscribe from any one or more and continue to receive OTHERs of the Newsletters.
