Eli Lilly -- The Dangerous Drug Dealer |
One of the most evil commercial activities in the world is the Eli Lilly & Company. They are the makers of the Prozac and Ritalin which cause children to become violent and adults to become vegetables if they don't commit suicide first! INDIANAPOLIS -- Eli Lilly & Co. said it stopped a clinical trial of its drug Moxcon for severely ill congestive heart-failure patients after 53 patients died after taking the drug, compared with 29 patients in a placebo group who died.
The drug, generically called moxonidine, already is marketed jointly in a different formulation in Europe by Lilly and Belgium's Solvay SA for high-blood pressure. A clinical investigator in the world-wide trial presented the results this week in Barcelona, Spain, at a meeting of the European Society of Cardiologists. The clinical trial was stopped about six months ago, Lilly said.
An independent medical-monitoring team recommended Lilly continue the trial with changed dosages, but the company decided not to because the numbers of deaths convinced it that at least the medication wasn't helping patients.
Lilly said it hasn't determined whether the drug actually played a role in the deaths, or whether there was something about the patient populations in the two groups in the trial that could have caused a higher number of deaths in the group taking the drug. Members of both groups continued to receive standard therapy, while one group also received Moxcon.
A Lilly spokesman said the patients in the trial were seriously ill enough that they normally would have a death rate of between 10% and 50% a year, regardless.
What the WSJ story doesn't mention is that before a new drug can get to the point of "human trials" it must have passed all sorts of hurdles to PROVE that it is safe -- a proof demanded by the FDA which, apparently, didn't see the truth that Lilly is incapable of presenting an honest story about a new drug. With the FDA watching out for your safety and health, you are in terrible danger.

A study published in 1986 showed that MSM " was effective in the chemoprevention of . . . mammary cancers."
