We no longer sell this item -- I've left information here for educational purposes. There is nothing wrong with the product, and if we get enough calls on it we will start to sellit again! KarlLoren
Many years ago there was a product heavily advertised on TV -- called "Dream Away." The theme of the advertising was that you could take these capsules, at night, just before you went to sleep, and you would "dream away your fat!"

Well, whether it worked or not, there were millions of bottles of that
stuff sold! When I first saw the advertising, and learned about the ingredients, I knew that this was a valid claim for the three different amino acids in this product. I'll write much more another day about the mechanisms of weight gain and loss, but in brief form, here, let me say that the best way to lose weight is to gain muscle! That may sound like I'm avoiding the question, but read on! The fatty tissues in your body require no calories to stay alive. At least not much. |
The muscle cells in your body require lots of calories.
So, when you eat food, and get those calories into your body, your fat doesn't use any of the calories, but your muscles do.
Now, muscle is much more dense than fat. So, a cubic inch of muscle weighs far more than a cubic inch of fat.
So, if you could build up your muscles, you could weigh MORE but be thinner!
And, all those muscles would absorb calories, leaving less excess calories to be converted into fat.
If you could find a relatively easy way to encourage your body to build muscles, you could really get a handle on your weight.
There is a way.
Muscles can't be built without something called "growth hormone" in your blood stream. Growth hormone doesn't get along well with another hormone, called insulin.
Insulin is produced by your body to handle the conversion of carbohydrates (bread, sugar, grains, vegetables) into energy (and fat). Insulin can also be used to convert proteins into energy or fat.
But, you've heard that proteins are needed to build up the structure of the body?
Well, that's true. The re-building of the body structure -- muscles, bones, organs, tissue, etc. -- requires protein. But, if all you have is insulin moving through your blood stream, then the protein won't convert into body structure, but only into energy or fat.
What it takes to convert protein into muscle, or body structure, is growth hormone, not insulin.
You can't really have BOTH of these two hormones in your blood stream at the same time. If you do, insulin wins!
The body is always more concerned with the "here and now" than the "maybe in the future."
Energy is a "here and now" requirement of the body. Fat is a "maybe in the future" requirement, but it's a future requirement for energy. Even though it seems important to you, the rebuilding of structure is not as important as a source of energy.
So, insulin converts food into energy and the excess into future energy (fat).
Only growth hormone converts food (only protein) into tissue, organs, bones, structure, muscles, etc.
So, the body is quite clever. It figures that the best time for the body to produce growth hormone is while you are asleep. After all, you don't need much energy then.
So, during the first ninety minutes after you go to sleep the body naturally produces growth hormone which then does its job of converting available protein into new muscles, organs, tissue, bones, skin, hair and other body structure.
If you eat a big meal just before going to sleep, the poor body doesn't know what to do. It has to convert all that food into energy, so it produces lots of insulin to handle that job. But, while you sleep the body is also trying to produce that growth hormone. When the two of these are trying to co-exist in the blood stream at the same time, the growth hormone is neutralized and the insulin wins! Your body has lots of insulin at just the time when it needs very little energy, so most of that big meal, eaten just before sleep, turns into fat.
That's why so many people tell you that you shouldn't eat your biggest meals at night -- eat a big meal earlier in the day, and a light meal at night. But, we like those heavy meals at night, so as a nation we grow fatter and fatter.
Well, back to you! After all, you can change your ways, can't you?
So, remember, your body naturally produces growth hormone at night, during the first ninety minutes of sleep.
So, don't eat much for at least three hours before you go to sleep -- or your body won't be rebuilding muscles and structure.
And, finally, we come to a little boost you can give your body.
The amino acids Ornithine and arginine help the body produce more growth hormone -- naturally.
These amino acids are NOT, themselves, a form of growth hormone, they are only food for the pituitary gland which produces growth hormone for you.
It gets hungry, too, just like you do. When it gets these two amino acids, it's happy and produces lots of growth hormone.
You now understand the story -- you avoid eating food for at least three hours before you go to sleep, you take some capsules containing arginine and/or Ornithine just before you go to sleep. Your pituitary gland is in seventh heaven. It's got extra food that it wants and needs. So, it produces more than the usual amount of growth hormone.
That growth hormone turns protein into muscles.
You lose weight, naturally, by building up your muscles.
That's the theory.
The theory is valid, but it turns out that the AMOUNT of arginine and Ornithine you need is rather large, and the discipline of not eating for three hours before bed has been difficult for most people.
So, initially, "Dream Away" sold millions of bottles, and many people had great success with it -- building muscle and losing weight.
But, also, many people ate big meals just before going to sleep, and many others tried to save money and took too few capsules.
Incidentally, you are getting more educational material about this Dream Away product than was ever available from the company that was selling it.
That's a hallmark of the Vibrant Life products -- we have more educational material than you will find in almost any other vitamin company.
Back to the TriAmino Acids.
When we saw the great success of Dream Away, selling 100 capsules at $40.00, and we looked at what it would cost us to put that exact same formula into a Vibrant Life product, we thought we'd hit the jackpot!
So, we simply copied that formula and put our own name and label on it. We called it the TriAmino Acids formula. It comes in a bottle of 100 capsules. Each four capsules contain:
l-Arginine
1,200 mg
l-Ornithine
900 mg
l--Lysine 1,200 mg
If you take four capsules per day, the bottle will last 25 days and we priced it at $20 for the bottle -- half the price of Dream Away.
If you take four capsules and lose weight you are lucky!
It takes more like 16 capsules per day to get most people any results, and even more for some people.
Dream Away ran into this problem, as we did, and their product soon faded from the TV scene.
We, too, sold lots of TriAmino Acids for a few months, and then very little.
We still think it is a good product, but want you to know that it has this history.
You could try it, on a very heavy dosage, and see how it works for you. Some people will spend anything to lose weight and this is a very safe and natural method of going after that objective. Obviously it has many more health benefits than just reducing weight -- since we mostly all need to have more of our food devoted to rebuilding body structure. As you get older the body produces less and less growth hormone -- naturally. It produces a lot when you are growing, but less and less after the age of about 18.
Now, we wouldn't have kept it in our product line if the ONLY thing it could do is to help build muscles.
It also turns out that the pituitary gland also helps produce the immune system cells that are so important in the body. And, arginine and Ornithine also help the pituitary gland produce these immune system cells.
So, even if you don't lose weight, you could take these amino acids on a regular basis as a means of feeding the pituitary gland and increasing the number of immune system cells in your body.
Well, enough for now.
Try it if you wish.
Oh, we add lysine because some people who take arginine, by itself, can get cold sores in their mouths and the lysine prevents that from happening. Lysine is cheap and effective for this purpose, so it's included.
TriAmino Acids -- worth a try.
