I was setting in my doctor's office when I noticed several well dressed Madison Avenue types of people coming in and out visiting with my Doctor.
All were caring brief cases or satchels, and dressed a little too spiffy to be from these neck of the woods.
Most of my doctor's patients were like me in the 40 to 60,000 dollar a year financial bracket; but those brief case toting guy's looked to be in the 100 to 200,000 dollar bracket.
Perhaps even more. I finally got in to see my doctor, and I ask "who were those well dressed people?" He said that they were drug salesmen!
There you have it; well dressed 'safe-drug' pushers influencing my doctor in ways that I never can. Selling so called safe-drugs should be an honorable profession; but when you push these drugs from today's billion dollar pharmaceutical cartel; I consider you to be about ten steps below the so called street pusher.
Lower because of the vast amount of people affected and public ignorance of the unsafe nature of the poisons they are pushing under the ruse as safe-drugs.
My doctor told me to undress from the waist up.
I removed my shirt and T-shirt, and felt the cold stethoscope on my chest. I coughed and he then stuck a flat stick in my mouth and told me to say, "ah."
I then put my T-shirt and shirt back on, and followed him into his office for further consultation. My doctor had me taking Lipitor, Toprol, Metformin, Aspirin, Isosorbide Bi-(something?), and a diuretic.
While in the consultation office, my doctor asked me in a deathly concerned tone, "Have you seen your Mother in Tennessee lately?"
I sat up in my seat while saying "No."
He paused for a few minutes while constantly looking down, intentionally avoiding eye contact, and said, "I think now is a good time to see her and any other family members you haven't seen for some time!"
Couple my doctors solemn tone with the fact that he was currently sending me out to other Specialist for what I called second opinions; this really scared me!
I was a heart patient and a diabetic. Sticking my fingers to draw blood was like drilling for water in a desert; the blood seeped out slowly and often I'd have to stick myself several times to get enough blood for a reading. But undeterred; I march on with what I thought was my fate and the only way I knew to go.
Till one day my favorite Aunt had passed away, she was 92 years old and lived what I thought was a good life.
I was a little disoriented by her passing; so I called my doctors office to get the address of some Specialist he wanted me to see. The nurses assistant that answer the phone had treated me so rudely that I told my doctor about it. Since his attitude was that of the devil may care; I swore to never see him again and took to the internet and found Vibrant Life.
