Since I’ve discovered the benefits of oral
chelation, vitamins, minerals and amino acids to treat my heart condition, I

MY STORY!
Following several month's at the start of 2002 suffering from a mysterious chest
pain I was eventually diagnosed as having Angina. I had reached the point where
I had already stopped cycling to work and could barely walk 100 metres without
needing my coro nitro medicine which you spray under the tongue to relieve the
pain. Coro Nitro spray is Glyceryl Trinitrate which works by relaxing the
arteries and allowing blood to flow more freely.
As well as Coro Nitro, my doctor prescribed drugs for lowering cholesterol,
lowering blood pressure and one for regulating the heart beat.
Visiting my local hospital to get the results of a treadmill ECG, the
cardiologist told me I would need an angiogram to determine where the blockage
was and eventually an angioplasty to widen the arteries. I was happy to go ahead
with all this until he told me that 1 in 1000 people die of just the angiogram!!
I thought, "you've got to be joking!"
I've since found out that angiograms, angioplasty and most by-passes are
unnecessary!
On the way home I figured I would try and find an alternative so looked up on
the internet 'alternative therapies for angina' and came across Dr. Matthias
Rath and 2 times nobel laureate Dr. Linus Pauling's work on heart disease.
They figured that heart disease is a result of vitamin and mineral deficiency
and can be treated and even reversed! This sounded a pretty wild claim to me but
sent off for some more info. I got sent a book by Dr. Matthias Rath called 'Why
Animals Don't Get Heart Attacks, But People Do' and some other brochures and
booklets.
Dr. Rath's book goes into immense detail about the heart disease/vitamin
deficiency connection and it all made sense to me. I put myself on Dr. Rath's
program and to my amazement I started to feel better within a few days! After
two weeks I was able to start cycling again and gradually worked up to riding
the 5 miles to work and back each day!!
By the third month I noticed that I was still getting some angina pain so put
together my own program using Solgar vitamins.
I started taking one Solgar V75 tablet, in the morning, I also took 8 Solgar
Vitamin C capsules in 1000mg, two every four hours. I also took 8 Solgar 1000mg
L-Lysine amino acid tablets a day, again 2 every four hours. I took one Solgar
500mg L-Arginine, a 500mg L-Carnitine and a 100mg CO Q-10 capsule at 8am. I also
took 3000mg of L-Proline a day.
Despite the outstanding results from this program I was still getting some
angina pain, usually when I pushed too hard when cycling up a big hill or
something.
It was at this point that I discovered Karl Lorens website oralchelation.com

pain at all! I devised a way of measuring my progress and found a mile long hill
near where I live. I set off from my house to walk up it, keeping my coro nitro
spray handy just in case! Well to my surprise I didn't need it at all! I got to
the top of the hill a little out of breath and my legs were aching but, no
angina pain whatsoever! Instead of coming back down the hill to my house I
carried on and walked in a big circle back to my house, about 3 miles! I was
stoked, I hadn't expected the results to be that good!
EXERCISE FOR LIFE.
It was a bit of a shock when all this happened to me because I’ve never smoked,
rarely drank and have always been a sporty person. When I was at school and
until the age of 24 I was into running and cycling. In 1983 I took up bmx
freestyle then skateboarding, I still skate to this day, i'm 46, and even raced
bmx for 5 years at National level up to 1995. I've trained with weights and
cycled the 20 miles to work and back when I worked in the city a few years ago!
Although I cut down a lot on exercise when my son was born in 1997, I had to buy
a car, I still managed some exercise at least a couple of times a week. I've
always considered myself to be fairly fit but I did have a penchant for food and
didn't really eat super healthy ALL the time. Now I’ve had to do something about
it, I’m eating healthy and exercising regularly. I'm car free now so rely on
cycling more than ever nowadays and ride the 5 miles each way to work and back
every day. I've even been able to return to manual work and now work in a
wharehouse, humping heavy boxes around all day!
One of the hardest things for me to do though has been to slow down to the pace
of life and learn to relax more. I've had a very stressful couple of years and
I’m sure that has had a lot to do with my condition. I've always been in a rush
and wanting to get things done and have always tended to be impatient and
competitive. Now I make sure I get plenty of R+R and I feel better for it.
There's no doubt about it though, I’m looking and feeling miles better and the
advice and info in Dr. Rath's book and on Karl Lorens website is working well
for me.
ADOPTING A HEALTHY DIET.
Because the incidence of heart disease is much lower in Mediterranean countries
than in Northern Europe and North America I have adopted a diet similar to the
Greeks, French and Italians with plenty of pasta, fruits, fresh vegetables and
salads, lots of virgin olive oil and garlic. I have pretty much cut out junk
food and keep my sugar intake as low as possible.
I've invested in a juicer and have a couple of glasses of fresh juice a day.
I drink plenty of water too, as the body is made up of 75% water and needs to be
kept hydrated. If you get thirsty, you're already de-hydrated so drink regularly
throughout the day. I get through a couple of litres a day on top of the fruit
juice and occasionally a glass of wine or beer. Red wine in particular is good
for the heart and a glass a day is good for you.
Footnote:
I must point out that if you decide to go down the road of vitamins yourself you
must continue to take the medicine prescribed by your doctor and consult with
them about the vitamin program you are on.
I personally have been able to come off the drugs prescribed by my doctor and
just carry a Coro Nitro spray with me for emergencies. I wrote the date on my
last bottle, May 22nd and as of today October 17th it's still half full!
