I'm writing because I am infuriated over comments such as those from Dr. Ruby
Simpkins, re: double blind studies!!!!!!!! Please, for me, if you can,
tell him/her to stick the dbl/blind studies up his/her #(#(#!!!!!!!! It
sounds like a typical comment from the drug happy, pharmaceutical controlled AMA
myrmidon doctors (doctors? HA!)
As positive as the effects have been for [James] Coburn, [using MSM] there are skeptics. Dr. Ruby Simpkins believes too much of the information about MSM comes from anecdotal testimony.
"I'm excited by the claims, but we need better studies. We need more data," said Dr. Simpkins. "There really is no scientific proof in terms of double-blind, well-controlled studies." [source]
I lost my ability to smell in my early 50s when I developed an allergy to grass.
I went to Doctors for 8 #*(*# years and went through a lot of expensive
poisonous prescribed drugs with no results. For 8 years I could not smell
the foulest odors and the best that the doctors could do for me was to tell me
that it was dues to an inflammation caused by the allergy.
Two years ago this month I read an article about MSM in a health magazine and
immediately recognized that MSM might help my condition. I went on the
internet, ordered it and a few days later when it arrived, I tore open the box,
took my first dose of 5 grams. Twenty minutes later I had my ability to
smell again after 8 *#*#*#* years!!!!!!!!!
Ever since, I have been taking from one to two teaspoons a day and my olfactories have not been interuppted for a moment.
Double blind study my %(%(%!!!!!!!
After several days, I noticed that the bursitis in my left shoulder was gone, that sore ligament, tendons in my arms and legs from strains due to weight lifting were gone!!!! Double blind study my (%(%(!!!!!!!!
Two of my golf buddies suffered from joint problems, one
with a pain in his shoulder so bad he
couldn't sleep, the other couldn't close his hands or pick up a pencil.
I encouraged them to try MSM. The shoulder pain of the one friend is
gone and the other now brags about the fact that he can pick up a dime!!!!!!!!!!
Double blind study my *(*(*!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did try going 2 days without taking MSM just to see what
would happen, and voila! the symptoms returned - lost my ability to smell and my
head clogged up. Since then I have not missed a day. MSM is a part
of my life, now and until the day I die....and all those prescriptions are in
the garbage.
I have come to the conclusion that the AMA is disgusting, and
corrupt and is more concerned about the money it makes than healing. There
is no money in MSM compared to the poisonous over priced drugs that doctors
delight in prescribing and further more, what doctors fear the most is
that when a patient goes on MSM, they have now lost control of the patient, the
patients health plan and his/her wallet.
*(*#( the AMA and its ignorant members - holistic doctors and others with
healing as their true objective excluded.

and my friends have realized through the wonders of MSM. In fact, if you

Thanks so much for the material on MSM and sharing in detail your experience
with that fabulous supplement. . I have found a true compatriot!
My initial note to you was the short. very short version of
my experience with supplements and in particular MSM, but on the other hand I
have never written a full length version either. I have no time to do that
now. Its one am eastern and I must be up early for golf tomorrow.
I'll just say for now that you wowed me with the detail of your personal
experience and incredibly or maybe not so incredibly parallels so much of my
own - even the Technicolor dreaming, the rash; but mine developed 50 years ago
as a teenager and miraculously disappeared with the taking of supplements at
age 47. Was I malnourished?. I was! And my back, that's another miracle
story. I totally agree about the detox and I have very interesting aside on
that one concerning alcohol.
I am a 64 year old retiree doing part time manual labor on a golf course, and
my story with supplements goes back to 1983/84 when I was terribly ill and had
the good fortune to see 2 California kooks on the Larry King
show: Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw. They changed my life. And perhaps
you may have another positive effect. I am going to increase my intake from 5
to 10 grams MSM daily to see what happens.
