Exclusive Distributorships

Vibrant Life has never sold through distributors -- has never sold to health food stores except a very few.
The primary reason for our reluctance to sell through these traditional channels has been these:
- Vibrant Life is an "information-rich" source of products -- we are concerned that others who have more of a profit motive and less of an educational motive will take advantage of our massive amount of free information and advice and use price discounts rather than information and advice to serve. This is the typical business model of places like Costco or Walmart. They take advantage of other suppliers who invest heavily in presentation of information, offer nothing like this to their customers and offer discounts instead.
- Price discounts are the usual way some stores find to sell their products -- when they discount their prices they make skimpy margins and cut back on the quality of the information they offer.
- The consumer who takes "free information" from one source and buys the discounted product from another is dishonest but common.

We are interested in changing this. I think we have a way!
Here are the features of our offer:
- We offer exclusive distribution rights to some area, such as a zip code area, with the area to be agreed upon.
- There is a fee for this exclusive distributorship
- You can discontinue your distributorship at any time and your entire fee, less any outstanding money owed, will be returned.
- We must have a legal and workable "retail price maintenance." If you have another, we are open to consideration, but the default arrangement is that:
- We ship to you "on consignment" Click here for a legal briefing on "price maintenance agreements." The total value of all goods shipped to you on consignment is never higher than the total of the fee you have paid for the exclusive representation.
- Consignments goods belong legally to us and we can legally set the price at which you must sell
- The price which you must charge is the same as, or higher, than our web-published prices for the same item and quantity. (We do offer standard discounts for quantity purchases -- you can offer the same as you wish.)
- When you have sold "our" goods, from your store, you send us the "consignment amount" and keep the margin of the sale. In other words, if we intend for some item to sell at retail for $100, and ship it to you "on consignment" with a "consignment cost" of $60, you then sell it for $100 or higher and send us the $60 consignment cost.
- If you have earned a "consignment cost" of $40, you still sell the product for $100, or higher, and send us the $40 consignment cost.
- How do you "earn" various rates of "consignment cost?" You do that by reaching consistent quantity levels of product sales and measurable levels of quality service and information to the consumer.
- Any instances found of sales at less than the agreed price will result in cancellation of the exclusive representation, return of fee paid (less any money owed).
- The "consignment cost" varies depending on what rate you have earned. If the published retail price is $100 and you have "earned" a 40% "consignment cost" rate, then when you sell this item you report the sale and transmit $40 to us. You can transmit money to us in weekly or agreed-upon terms.
- Vibrant Life will be offering a variety of educational services TO THE DISTRIBUTOR for his exclusive use. These include a special web site, created by us, customized with your name and details, such as described in THIS pop-up window.
More will be appearing on this page -- the path by which you can become an exclusive representative for Vibrant Life products in some particular market. This offer applies to non-US distributorships as well as within the US. Laws of various areas may require modification of retail price maintenance arrangements.
