UPS Shipments -- eMail Acknowledgement
We use a UPS shipping program that automatically sends you an eMail notice of the shipment, including the UPS tracking number so you can follow the course of movement of the package yourself if you wish. You may want to be sure you give us your current eMail address so this service will work for you. Generally every shopping cart order gives us your eMail address, which we place in your customer record.
US Postal Service -- Priority Mail -- Hawaii & Alaska
2 to 3 Business Days. This option is not offered within the Shopping Cart. We sometimes use Priority Mail in place of UPS Ground Service for small packages.
Alaska and Hawaii shipments by UPS must be sent by UPS Air, since UPS Ground Service is not available. These air shipments are much more expensive than US Postal Service, Priority Mail. We do not offer Priority Mail options on the shopping cart for a variety of reasons, but we WILL USE Priority Mail for shipments to Hawaii and Alaska. Since the shopping cart, itself, is not set up to offer those options, we suggest you send an order using a button that reads:
Print to order by fax or mail.
This button actually sends a copy of your (incomplete) order to US and even if there is a credit card entered for you, or on file, it is NOT automatically processed. This type of order is intended for you to receive a PRINTED COPY which you can then write comments on an send to us by FAX. But, you can also include comments on the form before you select the above "print" button.
So, for Hawaii and Alaska, complete your order, add a comment that you want us to use PRIORITY Mail, and that it's OK to charge your card for that shipping cost, but do not click on the "PROCESS" button. Instead click on this "PRINT" button.
Alternatively, you can send an order from Hawaii or Alaska by eMail, FAX or Phone.
Shipping to International AddressesCustoms
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from Vibrant Life, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Customs forms for all international packages list the value of your order's contents by product type.
If the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift," but the cost of the items is still stated on the customs form. Currently, we are not able to describe the contents in any other way. Insurance on International Orders is particularly important and the insurance coverage is based on the stated invoice price.
Items Requiring Special Handling
Some items are oversized or weigh over 20 pounds require special handling. We will contact you via email, phone, or fax for these matters.
Very Large Shipments
Some of our products are sold in one-ton or even larger orders. Obviously, for very large shipments we typically communicate back and forth with the customer -- taking his shipping company, or providing one of ours, but always subject to agreement on the shipment method.
Standard orders are entered into the Shopping Cart. The credit card is processed automatically and you get an automatic eMail acknowledgment of the order. We receive a copy of that order within minutes. We process all orders every morning, Monday through Friday, and if it has arrived before 12 Noon, it is usually shipped out that same day. In most cases the standard ordering procedure works quite well for both US and International orders.
You may also call on our toll free number from your location inside the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. You may also place a call from any international location. Our business hours are normally from 9 AM to 5 PM, Pacific Standard Time. We have efficient answering machines to take your phone message when we are not here. If you are a repeat customers we usually keep your previous credit card information on file and you do not have to repeat that unless it has changed. Thus, repeat customers can call, leave their name and postal code (or more address information) and describe the items you want, making reference to the "credit card on file." We will typically ship the same day if the call is received before NOON on Monday through Friday.
You may use our FAX number to send us an order. The number is (818) 558-7299. The FAX machine is in a secure location. It is up to you whether you want to send your credit card number by FAX. Many people feel that the FAX line is secure for this purpose.
You can send an order by regular eMail. Particularly if you are a person whose credit card is already on file with us, your eMail order does not have to include the card number. Simply provide the needed information -- name, address, etc., and the product quantity and description. For a new customer, if you wish, you can send us your credit card number broken down into two or three parts, in two or three separate eMail messages. That is up to you.
You can certainly also send us an order by regular mail. In the olden days ALL our orders came that way. Currently very, very few do. But, that certainly works fine for us. The street address for mail is 1831 N. Bel Aire Drive, Burbank, CA 91504.
