This is the home page for Life Glow Basic -- one of the family of three different oral chelation formulas offered by Vibrant Life.  You may have arrived on this page with no clue about what "oral chelation" means, or you may be very well informed on the whole concept of Vibrant Life oral chelation products.

This page assumes you are well informed on the other oral chelation formulas, and provides detailed information mostly about the Life Glow Basic formula.  However, all the other aspects of "oral chelation" are mentioned in the box below with a line or two, and then a link to a much more detailed page on that subject.  If you are new to this concept of "oral chelation" I urge you to click on the links immediately following this paragraph.  If you are already familiar with Vibrant Life oral chelation, you probably have already read the stuff on the next several links.

Differences Among The Three Different Formulas

If you are interested in the difference between Life Glow Basic and the other two oral chelation formulas -- this is the right page for you.  Here you can judge among the three different formulas we offer -- and here is where the most basic formula is described in detail.

You might say that Life Glow Basic is like your basic house, while the other two formulas are like large mansions -- the basic house takes care of the basic needs.  The mansion provides more comfort and service.  There can well be a place for either type in the society.

Life Glow Plus -- Standard For Most People

Super Life Glow -- The Ultimate For Those Who Want The Best!

Very briefly, Life Glow Plus and Super Life Glow are complete and balanced vitamin formulas. They contain not only a large amount of the "chelating substances" but also a complete balance of many other nutrients.  There are more than fifty different ingredients in each of them.  With either of these two products you usually won't have to take any other type of vitamin unless there is something that you particularly want, not included in these formulas.  Many people find that they can quit buying many different bottles of various vitamins -- the LGP or SLG (Life Glow Plus or Super Life Glow) have everything they need.

Life Glow Basic, on the other hand, is deliberately designed to be a single-purpose product.  It is NOT a balanced set of all the vitamins you might need  If IS designed very specifically JUST to remove toxic metals from the body.  There are only four ingredients in this formula. 

One capsule contains:

• 400 mg EDTA 
• 100 mg N Acetyl Cysteine
• 100 mg Vitamin C
• 100 mg Methyl Sulfonyl Methane

The full story on proper dosage is on the Life Glow Basic web pages, but there are five very good reasons for taking this formula rather than either of the other two -- rather than either of the other two very complete formulas.

• Many of the Vibrant Life customers taking LGP or SLG have expressed interest in "boosting" the chelating power of their formula.  In other words, they are happy with LGP or SLG, but wanted to have extra EDTA in the formula.  These people can continue buying LGP or SLG, take the full dosage or possibly a reduced dosage, and supplement that formula with one or more of these LGB capsules per day.  These are the long-time loyal friends of Karl Loren, Jean Ross and Vibrant Life.
  
  
• Some people are already distributors for vitamins sold by some MLM company.  It just happens that such people are usually far better educated on health subjects than many others and the concept of oral chelation really appeals to them.  However, there are special reasons why MLM companies don't usually offer oral chelation products -- or if they do, the formula is usually so weak as to be almost worthless. These people often feel great loyalty to their own brand of vitamins, but would like to take a basic form of oral chelation.  They can continue with their MLM brand for their "regular" vitamins, but use LGB for their special chelation purposes.  LGB will appeal to these people -- and they may also find that they can start buying in larger quantities to resell in smaller quantities to their customers for their other vitamins.

• No matter how valuable some health product may be, and no matter how much someone may need it, situations in a person's life sometimes prevent them from spending the money they would like to.  So, they wind up getting sick, or just doing without the vitamins they would like.  When your father has just died of a heart attack, and you get a bit worried about this for yourself, you might be willing and able to spend $10 per month for a very powerful formula to get rid of toxic metals in your body -- and just not worry about all the other vitamins you know you should be taking, and are not.

• Vibrant Life has had many people with various allergies to various ingredients -- call and write about Life Glow Plus.  One person would say that she would love to buy it, but it has glandulars in it.  Another says he just can't take that much Vitamin E.  We are  shipping our oral chelation formulas to very many non-US countries -- the customs restrictions vary and some places, like Germany, won't allow any of our vitamins in!    So, this new formula, being much more simple is likely to be much easier to bring through customs.  Some people are on special diets that don't allow certain nutrients.  In the past all we could say was, "We're sorry, we only have this formula with 51 ingredients."  Now we have a basic formula that just about any one can take -- adding whatever else they need, and easily avoiding whatever they can't have in their vitamin formula.

• There is another group of people -- those who are following the advice of some doctor, particularly some alternative type doctor, or a chiropractor, or a nutritionist.  There is a special reason why they might prefer to get all their vitamins either directly from their professional health care practitioner, or only based on his specific advice.  Many of these health care professionals use a testing technique called "muscle testing," and tell their patients whether some brand of vitamin is "good or bad" for them, and even how many they should take.

When you compare the costs and intended dosages Life Glow Basic is less expensive than either of the other two.  Of course SLG is the most expensive.  "LGB" (Life Glow Basic) is deliberately packaged so that the price of one bottle is rather high -- LGB costs $120 for a bottle of 360 capsules.  However, depending on the dosage you need and want, you might do quite well on as little as one capsule per day -- meaning that one bottle will last you for one year.  That makes THIS formula cost about $10 per month for a dosage that will remove toxic metals from your body.

LGB is subject to the same quantity discounts as all Vibrant Life products.  Thus, one bottle is $120, but when you get four of these bottles, the cost is as for three!  So, $360 pays for four bottles.  The discount on 8 bottles is 30%.  The discount on 24 bottles is 35% and the discount for 60 or more bottles is 40%.

Notice that a professional health care provider might well consider buying 60 bottles, 40% discount, at $4,320 and then actually dispense them in small packets -- enough for a 30 day supply at whatever price and dosage level he feels is right for a patient.  If he sells these capsules at a reasonable price of $30 for a one month supply (two capsules per day), he would be making a profit of about $18 on the $30 sale.

The calculation?  Take 60 bottles at 360 capsules each. That is 21,600 capsules, at a cost of $0.20 each.  The retail price for this same amount would be $120 for 360 capsules, or $0.33 each.  If he sells that 30 day supply (60 capsules) at $30, he would be selling at $0.50 per capsule, buying at $0.20, and his profit would be $0.30 per capsule, or $18.00 out of the $30 cost to the patient. 

The large bottle, but with steep discounts, is designed to interest people who will buy at some level of discount and then re-sell the LGB at a single bottle, or even possibly break down one bottle to a smaller quantity of capsules -- enough for a month or so.  Depending on the situation, a doctor could ask the patient to come back every month for a check-up.  While some people would much prefer to avoid the cost of a monthly doctor's visit, there may well be some people for whom the monthly doctor's visit is an essential for them to achieve the good health they are looking for.

The relatively high price for one bottle is also deliberately designed to give some assurance that only people with the ability and willingness to read thoroughly about this formula will buy it.  It should not become a cheap $10 item in some drug store, where the customer buys it on the basis of a very skimpy understanding of what it is and how it works.  You are likely to study something rather carefully if you are going to pay $120 for a single bottle.

Keep in mind that THIS formula requires you to add your own choice of minerals to it, and that you take this product at least one hour before a meal, or one hour after a meal.  You can and should be also adding your own choices of vitamins and other nutrients -- there are important decisions to be made when you use this formula.

Keep in mind, also, that EDTA in doses above 500 mg per day have produced stomach gas, bloating and stomach upset in about 10% of the people using the larger dose.  The most likely experience for you is to be in that 90% who have no adverse reaction!  The "upset" is not dangerous, but the person using this formula should either be ready for such a possibility or under the care of a doctor or health care professional who can advise what to do in such situations.

 

EDTA

All three of the Vibrant Life oral chelation formulas include something called "EDTA."  There are many hundreds of pages about this substance, EDTA, in several sections of webs published by Karl Loren.  Many of those pages have been copied into this section for ease of reference and navigation.  Click here for the main page that lists all the OTHER pages describing EDTA.

EDTA is an "artificial amino acid."  Foods are made up of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.  Let's use the word "natural" to describe the proteins in food that has been produced in some natural way.  Scientists have also found ways to copy the molecular structure of natural food substances, or to alter that structure so as to create a new substance. Generally these are not "real" foods, but "artificial foods."  Butter, for instance, is a real food.  I don't think that margarine is a real food.  These distinctions are not very clear.

In any event, scientists invented something called EDTA -- it is a man-made, artificial amino acid. That means that it has a molecular structure similar to natural amino acids, but is different from the natural amino acids in some ways.

Basically EDTA is able to do something very efficiently similar to the natural amino acid called Cysteine.  You find Cysteine in the yolk of an egg.  You will never find EDTA in any food product.

Cysteine has some very interesting functions in the body.  When you take enough of it it will be used to "chelate" or grab hold of metals.  Once the Cysteine has grabbed the metal, they are bound together and the body now eliminated that combined particle out of the body, in the urine.  So, we say that Cysteine is a "chelating substance."

EDTA is another chelating substance.  You might say that it is more powerful than Cysteine, but more accurately you would simply say that it is different.  For instance, EDTA does not grab mercury whereas Cysteine does.  So, different chelating substances work in different ways.

Here is a comparison of the "chelating substances" in each of the three formulas -- taking the recommended daily dosage for LGP and SLG, and taking ONE capsule per day for LGB.

* Note that it is not technically accurate to simply add these different substances for a "total," but you can look at this total as a very rough guide to the total amount of "chelating substances" in the above formulas and dosages.

When you start adding the cost of the product to this comparison you begin to see some differences that may be exactly what you are looking for.  The cost per month is based on taking the recommended daily dosage of LGP and SLG, and one capsule per day for LGB.

It is absolutely amazing to think that a person can get a very powerful formula that will remove toxic metals from his body for only $7.50 per month.  You could completely ignore the other two formulas from Vibrant Life and buy any of hundreds of other brands of vitamins.

Another likely possibility someone may consider is taking some combination of two formulas.  For instance, someone who is taking Life Glow Plus, right now, at 20 capsules per day, would be getting a great oral chelation formula. But, for reasons of economy, or whatever, he or she might want to consider taking only 10 capsules per day, and then boosting the chelating power of the formula by adding one or two capsules per day of the Life Glow Basic.

First let's look at the person who is taking 20 capsules per day of Life Glow Plus but just wants to have more chelating taking place.  He buys the regular four bottles of LGP every two months, and he buys ONE bottle of LGB, at a time, as needed, depending on how many of the LGB capsules he adds to his daily dosage.

Note that with this arrangement the person increases the chelating power of his regular Life Glow Plus by 45%, simply by increasing his cost per month by 13%.  If you are satisfied with the large number of nutrients in Life Glow Plus, and want to increase the chelating power, you can now do so with a small increase in cost, but a large increase in effect.

When you want to economize, but you like the Life Glow Basic formula, you get close to a level of chelating substances which is too low to do any chelating.  But, when you boost your daily dosage with one or two capsules of the Life Glow Basic, you can maintain your high rate of chelation while reducing your "regular vitamins" to a level which is still far, far higher than most people take.

So, consider taking 10 capsules every day of the Life Glow Plus, instead of 20, and then adding TWO capsules per day of the Life Glow Basic.

Note that here you get almost the same amount of chelating substance, but for a cost that is almost $30 less per month -- this is the comparison between taking ONE capsule of LGB and full dosage of LGP, and taking TWO capsules of LGB and half dosage of LGP.

Someone may be willing to pay the top dollar and get the Super Life Glow, and still wonder if he could increase the speed and effectiveness of his daily chelation?  He certainly can.  This person is already taking 30 capsules per day to get the total formula.

If he continues with the 30 capsules per day and adds THREE capsules per day of the Life Glow Basic, he will have a tremendous increase in the the chelating power of his formula, but without the inconvenience of taking 50 or more capsules per day.

Note that this person is spending what would ordinarily be considered an enormous monthly amount of money for a vitamin product, but if he can afford this, and sees the value -- great.  But, this person could increase the chelating power of his daily vitamins by almost 100%, increasing the number of capsules only 10%, and increasing his monthly cost by only 16%.

You could figure different combinations of the three formulas and come up with exactly what is best for you.
