Vibrant Life - Oral Chelation Frequently Asked Questions
Over the years, we have received thousands of questions from interested Vibrant Life customers and visitors. Take a moment to look at our frequently asked questions. If you do not find the answer to your question here, you may use the search box on our Home page to find additional information about our products, oral chelation, free radicals and other valuable health information.
Are Vibrant Life vitamins natural?
The word natural, like many words in the vitamin industry, is a misnomer. While vitamins have natural sources for ingredients, the term natural vitamin(s) is misleading.
For example, a 1,000 mg Vitamin C capsule derived completely from Acerola cherries would be unaffordable for the typical consumer because currently Vitamin C derived from Acerola cherries is approximately $7,500 per kilogram.
In terms of effectiveness, there is virtually no difference between natural vitamin C and synthetic vitamin C. And, such is the case with all vitamins. However, Vibrant Life uses high quality ingredients and sources for their vitamin formulas and stands behind them.
What is the shelf life of your vitamins?
Vibrant Life supplements have a three-year expiration date and their potency is reliable for that period. Our vitamin labels have a seven-digit number stamped on the back that looks like this: 0409099. The first two numbers are the month of manufacture, the second two numbers are the year of manufacture and the remaining numbers are the batch number.
In our example, the number shows the vitamins were manufactured in April of 2009 and come from batch number 099. Though vitamins may retain much of their potency beyond their expiration date, we do not sell vitamins that are expired.
What is intravenous chelation therapy and what is oral chelation?
A chelator is a substance that grabs to heavy metals and toxins in the body, and carries them out via the kidneys and urine.
Intravenous chelation therapy pre-dates oral chelation therapy and is a procedure that only a licensed doctor may offer. Each intravenous chelation treatment may take three to four hours and cost approximately $100 per treatment. IV chelation is not painful and your doctor may recommend one to five treatments per week, depending on overall health and schedule. The intravenous chelation process uses the artificial amino acid, EDTA, for heavy metal detoxification and is considered extremely safe and effective.
Dr. Kurt Donsbach, who set the original standard for cysteine (an amino acid) in an oral chelation formula, first coined the term “oral chelation.” Dr. Donbach’s was the first oral chelation formula on the market. Oral chelation is based on the amino acid cysteine plus oral EDTA.
Cysteine can be absorbed into the body, when taken through the mouth —EDTA cannot. However, EDTA works wonders, while it is still in your stomach and intestines, drawing toxic metals out of your body. EDTA is a very useful addition to a Cysteine oral chelation, or an oral chelation based on N-Acetyl-L-cysteine. Results are very quick with IV chelation, and the cost is far less than bypass surgery and sudden death.
What is cysteine?
Cysteine is the amino acid, which is central to the action of the oral chelation formulas offered by Vibrant Life: Life Glow Basic, Life Glow Plus and Super Life Glow.
What is niacin and why does it cause a flush and itching?
Niacin is an ingredient used in our Vibrant Life oral chelation products, Life Glow Plus and Super Life Glow. Niacin is vitamin B3 and improves heart health and blood circulation.
Niacin produces a flush because it causes the small blood vessels to expand and increase blood flow through the capillaries. The increased blood flow improves circulation and sends more blood to surface areas, such as the skin. The increased blood flow also rids the body of toxins, waste and can produce histamine as part of the process. Histamine causes the itchiness. While you may feel discomfort during a niacin flush, it is not harmful or dangerous, just a sign of healthy cleansing and improved blood flow.
How long should I take Life Glow Plus, Super Life Glow?
At Vibrant Life, we believe that you should take our oral chelation formulas for life because you are exposed to heavy metals and dangerous toxins on a daily basis. However, the most dramatic affects of our Life Glow formulas take place in the first ninety days after you begin taking them.
What results can I expect?
If you have never taken vitamins, you may notice positive changes immediately, such as higher energy and a feeling of wellness. A regular vitamin consumer may notice more subtle changes.
If you experience problems with blood circulation, particular ingredients in our oral chelation formulas such as the amino acids Cysteine, N Acetyl Cysteine, and EDTA can provide amazing results, some very quickly, including:
- Chronic coldness and/or numbness in extremities disappear (30-90 days)
- Dizziness caused by lack of blood/oxygen to the brain disappears (30-90 days)
- Leg and muscle pain from lack of blood flow/oxygen disappears (30-90 days)
- Angina pain levels may disappear or greatly reduce (one year)
- Reduction in artery plaque blockage (variable)
When should I take Life Glow Plus, Super Life Glow?
There is no specific time of the day that one must or should take our oral chelation formulas. Everyone has different needs and schedules. We believe you should take our oral chelation supplements on the schedule and approach that works best for you. However, if you want the full benefit of oral chelation, take the full-recommended dosage.
What if I take less than the recommended dose?
As with any vitamin formulation if you do not take the recommended dosage, you will not receive the full benefit of the product. If you want the full oral chelation benefit, we recommend you take the full recommended dosage.
What are the appropriate oral chelation dosages for children?
The dosage of Life Glow for a child is relative to body weight. An adult weighing 120 pounds and up, can easily take the full daily dosage. A child at 60 pounds could begin at half the dosage. As long as the child does well on the formula, you can gradually increase the dosage up to the full amount.
Does Life Glow Plus interfere with drugs and medications?
No, our oral chelation supplements do not interfere with medications. However, medications can reduce effectiveness of vitamin supplements. Because most medications act to suppress symptoms, they may block the absorption of substances like vitamins. Therefore, the positive effects will be reduced, if you are currently on medications.
Why should I buy your oral chelation products when others are cheaper?
Vibrant Life’s oral chelation formulas have up to 51 ingredients depending on the formula you choose. Designed to increase blood flow, our oral chelation products remove toxic metals from the body and improve overall health. Many ingredients are included to provide a balanced effective formula. In unbalanced vitamin formulas, you can inadvertently create deficiencies in other vitamins. Vibrant Life has sold oral chelation products longer than any other vitamin company has. Our thousands of repeat customers are a testament to our high quality supplements.
Does Life Glow Plus lower cholesterol?
Life Glow Plus is not designed to lower cholesterol, but rather to remove toxic metals. Life Glow Plus can also increase blood circulation, which may reduce chances of stroke or heart attack. Once toxic metals are removed from your body, the formation of free radicals is greatly reduced.
Is all Taheebo the same quality?
South American natives have used the bark of the Taheebo tree for centuries to treat many health problems. The usual practice is to make a tea of the boiled or soaked bark and consume several cups of the tea per day. Originally, U.S. markets sold it as loose bark in bags in health food stores from which consumers made tea.
However, as Taheebo gained popularity, it became obvious the amount needed for any serious health problem would be impossible to get through tea. As a solution, companies began making an extract form by processing the bark in a soak of alcohol and water. The result of the process was a liquid in an alcohol tincture.
Vibrant Life developed an improved process that resulted in a liquid, which is a highly concentrated mass of the active ingredients in Taheebo bark. You must mix the concentrate with a small amount of ground bark to make it pourable into capsules.
Our method maintains a high concentration of active ingredients and one capsule is comparable to six cups of Taheebo tea. We are not aware of any other company that offers Taheebo with a comparable concentration of active ingredients.
How do I know if the MSM I am using is the real thing?
Virtually all MSM is manufactured by the same process and has the same quality. The manufacturing process makes it difficult to produce MSM with any impurities in it. The MSM is no different in chemical make-up whether it is fine grind or irregular grind.
The purity of MSM relates to the moisture captured in the final product. The amount of moisture depends on the humidity where the product is produced. Vibrant Life MSM has a purity of 99.7% and 0.3% moisture content.
Vibrant Life is the only company with an FDA Certificate endorsing its MSM.
How much MSM should I take?
We consider MSM primarily a cleansing agent, but also as an effective pain reliever for arthritis among other maladies. A daily dose from bulk crystals is one to four teaspoons per day. If you have never taken MSM this way, start out slowly and gradually increase the amount. If you prefer MSM capsules, five to twenty per day, but again start slowly and gradually increase the amount.
What is the stability of MSM?
MSM crystals are very stable, inside or outside the capsules. It is important to remember, however, that capsules with gelatine shells age degenerate over time and may contaminate the MSM inside, if not properly stored.
Are there any genetically modified organisms (GMO) in Vibrant Life products?
No. All Vibrant Life products are free from GMO, organisms in which the genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques.
What are heavy metals and what is their danger to the body?
The term heavy metals refer to a set of metallic chemical elements that have a high density and are toxic or poisonous at low concentration. Heavy metals are loosely defined and include all toxic metals. Heavy metal poisoning can possibly include excessive amounts of iron, manganese, aluminum, mercury, beryllium and lead.
Heavy metals in the body promote free radicals, also known simply as radicals, are molecules responsible for aging and tissue damage. These molecules are very unstable, therefore, seek to bond with other molecules, destroying their vigor and starting the damaging effect in otherwise healthy organs and tissue.
