My Husband Just Had A Massive Heart Attack In The ER! Help!
How about YOUR question here?

Dear Karl,
My husband, age 44, just had what the doctors called a "massive heart
attack". He was in the emergency room at the hospital when struck, he was having
left sided chest pain radiating down his left arm. It took them 20 minutes to
resuscitate him and they shocked him 10 times to bring him back.
His LAD artery was completely blocked and they put a stent in.
First, what is the LAD artery?, I've gotten varying answers on this, but I've
heard it's nicknamed "the widowmaker",
I'm glad I'm not, he was in the emergency room when it hit.
Obviously, he's on blood thinners now and BP meds, which he was on before, but what are the chances of this happening again?
Where can I find a picture of this artery?
I believe this is a main artery, but I'm not sure. I don't think he understands how serious his situation was, if I could show him a picture, I think it might make him understand a little more.
Risk factors are family history (uncles and grandparents with heart problems).
He used to smoke, but quit in 1999. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Betty
Dear Betty,
I've decided to answer your questions on a web page:
Here:
http://www.oralchelation.com/faq/answers77.htm
It isn't done yet, but you'll see a fair amount even now.
I think you'll find this an informative reply.
Karl Loren
Dear Betty,
I'm taking the liberty of publishing a full answer to your question on my web site, without your name and address. Partly I do this because the answer to your questions is here and there among my 100,000+ pages, but that's a lot of web pages to look through.
So, here we go.
First, the LAD Artery is the "Left Anterior
Descending" artery within the heart muscle.
The o,age on the right, below, shows the LAD. It is on the "left" of the
heart, but on the "right" side of the image.
Click HERE for a larger picture of the coronary arteries of the heart.
The Heart's Own Arterial System heart muscle receives its blood supply from the Coronary Arteries, a system of blood vessels that arise from the Aorta, just outside the left ventricle.
When we're born these arteries are normally clean, free of atherosclerotic plaque. As we age, however, disease sets in and blockages may occur.
When these blockages reach a point at which they occlude about 75% of the arterial flow angina may occur.
Total occlusion of any artery may lead to a heart attack. (Source)
Generally a "heart attack" is when one of the arteries that supply the heart muscle with blood (and therefore oxygen) has blockage and that starts the attack.
The death rate from heart attacks is high.
| A heart attack is sudden. The causes of the heart
attack are not. Years of unhealthy heart habits suddenly, unexpectedly,
catch up with you. [Karl Note: Eating eggs, butter or foods high in cholesterol is NOT a risk factor for heart disease. In fact, having a high cholesterol count is also NOT a risk. This is a commonly believed false datum, originated years ago for the purpose of selling cholesterol lowering drugs. (Full Story)] Anywhere. Anytime. A diseased heart is like a ticking timebomb. The heart attack is its explosion. Technically, a heart attack occurs when the supply of nutrient-rich blood to the heart muscle is reduced or stopped. If the blood supply is shut down for a long time, muscle cells die from a lack of oxygen. If enough cells die, the victim will also die. Often, only a small part of the heart muscle is deprived of oxygen so the victim can recover. (Source) |

The American Heart Association used to be considered the "gold standard" for statistics on heart disease, but I was probably the ONLY person who caught them in a terrible lie. They were claiming false statistics on death from heart disease because they wanted to be able to claim that the drugs and procedures which THEY recommended were working. In fact, the AHA advice has caused more death. Here is the page where I explain the false nature of their statistics. Here is the page with the full expose. Here is where the AHA threatened to sue me if I didn't take my offending page of the internet! |
Despite the lies of the AHA, there data about heart disease is still the most widely accepted:
- Claimed 927,448 lives in 2002 (38.0 percent of all deaths or 1 of every 2.6 deaths). (Preliminary)
- Other 2002 mortality: total cancer 557,271; accidents 106,742; HIV (AIDS) 14,095.
- Over 150,000 Americans killed by CVD are under age 65.
- 2002 preliminary death rates from CVD were 373.8 for white males and 492.5 for black males; for white females 265.6 and for black females 368.1. (Death rates are per 100,000 population. The rates listed use the year 2000 standard U.S. population as the base for age adjustment.)
- From 1992 to 2002 death rates from CVD declined 18.0 percent.
- Despite this decline in the death rate, in the same 10-year period the actual number of deaths increased 0.8 percent.
The death rate from heart attacks and heart disease is HIGH. One source of current and historical statistics on this is HERE on one of my web sites.
What causes heart disease? Well, there is the false answer of "high cholesterol" which is disproved here. Then, there is the correct and honest answer which I have HERE. This last link includes scientific data which is far beyond the current level of knowledge in medical schools or hospitals.
The term "widow-maker" comes from the fact that many times when the heart attack involves the "LAD," the results are sudden death.
My husband had a heart attack about 8 mos ago. The doctor called it a widowmaker's box - he had no pulse for 54 minutes - but he had CPR immediately - and then they used the deliberator on him 10 times - he had angioplasty - he doesn't remember a thing - no brain damage - was not over weight - no red meat - exercised a few times a week - oh - he's only 51. Just this past week he had a symptom that the whole left side of his body felt different and it lasted about half-an-hour - the doctor prescribed Coumadin - the brown one - also he was told that since he's on Coumadin - not to eat dark leafy veggies - vitamin k - Also - can you please give me a description of a widow maker's box? Thank you for your time - HH
Doctors Answer"Widow maker lesion" refers to a severely narrowed LAD (a major blood vessel to the heart muscle). The blood vessel narrowing is caused by cholesterol deposits –a process called atherosclerosis. Complete obstruction of the Widow makers lesion by a blood clot can result in a major heart attack.
[Karl Note: Of course the claim of "cholesterol deposits" is completely false. It is hard to believe that so many lies can be told by so many doctors and believed by so many people!]
In some heart attack patients, blood clots can form in the damaged portion of the heart ventricle. Small pieces of the clots can break away, travel to the brain, and cause neurological symptoms such as numbness or weakness on one side of the body or face. COUMADIN, a blood thinner, is used to prevent blood clotting.
[Karl Note: Of course you realize that "Warfarin" or "Coumadin" was originally created to be a rat poison and still is. HERE is that story.]
Vitamin K is used by the body to help form blood clotting factors. Warfarin (Coumadin) reduces the ability of blood to clot by blocking Vitamin K; however, large amounts of Vitamin K can overcome the effects of Warfarin. Leafy green vegetables, salads and certain cooking oils, including canola and soybean oil, as well as broccoli, spinach and some liquid dietary supplements drinks all are high in vitamin K.
Recently, the National Stroke Association and the DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company (manufacturers of COUMADIN) jointly issued a statement, noting that during the summer months, many Americans change their diets to include lighter foods, including salads and leafy green vegetables that provide them with more vitamin K. According to the National Stroke Association, patients taking Warfarin do not need to avoid foods that are high in vitamin K--rather, they should guard against changing the amounts they consume of vitamin K-containing foods since the changes in vitamin K intake can alter the effect of Warfarin, making Warfarin ineffective (too much vitamin K in the diet) or causing bleeding (too little vitamin K in the diet).
[Karl Note: The typical doom-signal from a doctor: "Beware of leafy green lettuce!"]
Patients on COUMADIN should work closely with their doctors, and let the doctors know of changes in the dietary consumption of vitamin rich foods.
Low fat and cholesterol diet, reducing excess weight, controlling high blood pressure and diabetes, regular exercise prescribed by the cardiologist, and aggressive lowering of elevated LDL cholesterol (usually with medications) can reverse atherosclerosis in the heart blood vessels, stabilize the existing atherosclerotic plaques, and reduce the risk of heart attack and heart related deaths. Heart
doctors really have no clue as to what causes heart disease. They have
agreed among themselves, and because of massive publicity from drug companies,
that there are certain causes which "sound OK." These are the causes, such
of parents, etc., which imply that part of the reason is hereditary. Of
course you can't do anything about those causes, so that gives the doctors an
excuse for failure.
They also name "bad diet" as a cause -- knowing that most people can't stand the diet they recommend, so most people "feel guilty" about their eating and thus excuse the doctor when heart attacks happen.
Sure, people would be more healthy on a better diet, better if they lose weight and better if they exercise more -- all good reasons to "blame the patient."
What these doctors do NOT blame is the dentists who still
use silver filings for your teeth! Silver
fillings are made of about 50% mercury, a deadly metal poison. This
mercury leaks out of your teeth for your entire life -- and METALS are the basic
problem that causes heart disease.
Metals in the body can be cleaned out by oral chelation. If you don't clean them out, those metals cause a dramatic multiplication of free radicals in the body -- and it is free radicals that are the basic cause of both cancer and heart disease.
Rather than take any of hundreds of heart drugs people would be far better off getting rid of the silver fillings in their mouth. Many dentists will agree with this, but many others still fill your mouth with toxic metal and claim that it is safe!
Once you have that massive heart attack you are very likely to believe anything the doctor says -- so that's bad news for the victim. Eventually you start looking around, if you don't like the idea of drugs and doctors. Eventually you find references to "oral chelation." More and more people, despite the billions spent on drug publicity, are finding that oral chelation improves blood circulation and greatly reduces the risk of further heart problems.
Here is one good explanation for "oral chelation."
