Over many years many people have asked me about "human growth hormone, " often abbreviated as HGH.
For instance:
Dear Karl,
Could you please send me any information you have about enzymes and HGH? We are taking HGH and Enzymes from another company. Since we get Life Glow and Calcium from you, I might try the enzymes and HGH from you.
/S/
Dear S,
This is an increasingly common question on the web.
If you enter the term "human growth hormone" in a good search engine such as www.google.com, as I just did (click here) you will find about 39,000 web sites that would appear to match this term.
The number one listed site gives this somewhat accurate statement on its main page:
"Raw" human growth hormone and human growth hormone enhancers. "Raw" HGH (aka Somatropin) is literally a synthetic human growth hormone in an injectable form. You would need a doctor to prescribe it. It can have some potentially dangerous side effects. It's cost is also an incredible $1,000 per month or more. The second type is a HGH enhancer. It is in pill form, requires no prescription, and rarely if ever has any side effects. It costs anywhere from $30 to $200 per month depending on where you buy it. It works by supplementing the body with compounds known to cause the body to increase the manufacture of HGH.
Part of this is true, but the implication that there is some magic pill that "works" is a very new fraud on the public. I have seen it more and more during the past few years. There are no end of suckers looking for the magic way to build muscles and lose weight without any effort. There ain't no free lunch!
What is true is that there is synthetic drug, available only by doctor's prescription, and that this drug is very dangerous to use. This drug is made by one of the most evil drug companies on the planet -- the Eli Lilly Company. Click Here to read about their drug. Lilly is also the maker of many psychiatric drugs, including Prozac.
What is also true, though hardly stated, is that there are vitamin type substances which can increase the body's own natural production of "growth hormone." To call this natural action "human" growth hormone would not be technically wrong, but the implication is that you are getting the "real thing" when what you are actually getting has been offered for decades with less deception.
Some of the HGH on the market might actually be REAL HGH. The drug form is a synthetic form, but the real form is "harvested" from dead bodies, often in India or China. People die! Their bodies are carved open to harvest various items of value -- there is a way of extracting REAL human growth hormone from a dead body -- this stuff is actually sold. It is, of course, completely illegal in any country.
So my mine message to you is that yes, there are substances which will increase your body's natural production of growth hormone, but that they have been around for many years and the only thing that is now new is that the old, well-known substances are being given fancy new names, and sold at exorbitant prices.
Here is another piece of truth from this first page:
Yes. It is possible without a supplement to elevate the HGH in your body. This is accomplished by rigorous and sustained exercising. The more the better. Exercising while you are hungry is even more helpful. Exercise alone will not cause your body to manufacture as much HGH as supplementation with an HGH enhancer. The best is to do both. If you could only do one than supplementation would be better.
This is so true, but people don't want to hear it. They want the magic bullet pill!
Another nice piece of truth (perhaps I don't have to write anything??).
Are all HGH supplements created equal? Do they all work about the same?
No. There effectiveness varies widely. Paying the highest price will not guarantee you will get a good HGH product. This is the reason for building this web site. There are many HGH enhancer supplements on the market and being sold over the internet. Most, in my opinion, are a colossal waste of money. There are many different types of enhancers in a good HGH supplement. There are less enhancers in a bad HGH supplement. The dose of each enhancer in the supplement is important too. The best price I've found for an excellent HGH product will cost you around $57 per month. A link to the site that sells it is at the top and the bottom of this page. (link)
Ah! Too Bad. This whole web site is apparently nothing more than a promotion for ONE brand.
Let's look to see if that brand is a fraud or not???? Well, the first clue is the address you go to!!!!
http://mdhealthline.com/cgi/sgx/store/web_store.cgi?cart_id=216.103.33.10&page=index.html&afnum=4953
This long and complicated web address is especially designed to keep track of WHERE the browser comes from. We have here a web site that pays people to put up web sites, appearing to be objective, when they are not at all objective. That long, complicated address tells the new web site EXACTLY where you arrived from, and guarantees a money payment to that source if you are sucker enough to buy. It is a common mechanism on the web.
But, you certainly have to now question the honesty and truthfulness of the original site -- remember it was NUMBER ONE on Google!
Let's look further.
Right away I see that this new site is selling "herbs" for enhancing your sexual experience. First warning to stay away!
Then, I see that they have two different forms of "HGH" formulas:
Click here to read about one -- a complete fraud.
Click here to read about another one -- another complete fraud.
Click here to read what the FDA has to say about this market.
Click here to read letters to me, Karl Loren, based on people reading this page.
As I visited other sites, several, not even one of them admits as to what ingredients are in their products. This is common on the web. The law requires the seller to list the ingredients on the label, but not on the web. So, you can't find out what the stuff is made of. By the time you have become a sucker, and bought some, and get the bottle, they have found ways to describe these ingredients with words you have never heard of -- so there is no way of judging.
It's called "Psychobabble" in honor of the psychiatrists who are the most infamous for using words that have no meaning. Here is an example:
Growth hormone from the lymph gland in the left foot will factionalize the ester which makes the final residue freely revasible. Thus, if you want an honest precursor of growth hormone be sure to buy only genuine Pumeer from plants grown on the southern tip of Groofeltderland.
Many people will read the above paragraph and swear that they understand it. It cannot be understood. When you read the claims made by fraudulent products you will very often find language like the above. Here and here and here are examples of MLMs with psychobabble descriptions of their products -- frauds all!
I could go on, but these products START with truthful statements, but go on to completely fraudulent products and lies.
Now, the truth!
Growth hormone is a substance produced by the pituitary gland, located inside the brain. GH is the only substance that builds muscles. As you eat proteins, they are broken down your digestive system, then enter the body as "amino acids" and TWO of those amino acids can be used by the pituitary gland to trigger an increase of production of growth hormone.
Muscles, bones, flesh, organs? All of these are created by your body ONLY by the action of growth hormone on all the many various amino acids, so as to build these structures.
So, by itself GH does not build muscles. But, GH can == but only with proteins to work on.
There is more required.
The body thinks that energy is more important for the body than building up new muscles. So, the first priority of the body is to convert food into energy. Any food can be converted into energy. Usually it is the carbohydrates that convert most easily into sugar, then into energy. The pancreas produces "insulin" which converts the sugar in your blood stream into energy, and when there is enough energy produced, the insulin stores sugar/energy in various cells, including fat cells.
Carbohydrates will never build muscles. And insulin cannot convert ANYTHING into muscles.
Only "growth hormone" can build muscles, and never out of carbohydrates -- only from proteins (and the components of proteins -- amino acids).
If you don't have much GH in your blood stream, or none, then you have insulin and insulin acts on protein to convert it into sugar and energy. SO if you want muscles, you must, somehow, get GH produced and avoid insulin at the same time.
The pituitary gland produces GH during the first 90 minutes of sleep, particularly if you have not eaten food during the previous 3 hours.
It also produces GH during and after very vigorous exercise.
Also, the amino acids (very commonly available) of Arginine and/or Ornithine cause the pituitary gland to produce growth hormone (IF there is no food in the body causing insulin to be produced).
GH and insulin cannot both exist in the blood stream == when they are both there, insulin wins and GH is eliminated.
So, if you want GH, do a lot of exercise, on an empty stomach, and take Arginine and Ornithine just before going to bed.
Still, the amount of Arginine and Ornithine you would have to take to make much difference will be very large.
Also, the older you are, the harder this will be to do.
If you would like to try some of this, then Vibrant Life offers an honest approach -- what we call the Tri Amino Acid Formula. It was cheap -- only $20 for one bottle. Click here to review the page describing that product. However, we didn't sell much so no longer offer it. You can read that page anyway to find out about it.
Stay away from any HGH that offers mysterious ingredients, or no list of ingredients. There MIGHT be some formulas based on Arginine or Ornithine, but if they are being heavily promoted these names will be somehow hidden and you will be paying through the nose for stuff you can buy in any health food store -- cheap!
