Dear Karl,
I am on the prescription drug Zoloft. Is your product safe to take with prescription drugs?
Ruth
Dear Ruth,
Generally, a vitamin product will not interfere with a prescription drug -- that's generally true.
Specifically, I know of no medical drug which is adversely affected by taking Life Glow Plus, or either of the other two oral chelation formulas.

More specifically, medical drugs often reduce the benefits which
can be obtained from ANY vitamin product. This is VERY true of Zoloft. My version of the PDR, Physicians' Desk Reference, shows Zoloft, page 2,000, as an antidepressant. |
Antidepressants are the WORST drugs anyone can take -- or, more accurately, the psychiatric drugs, generally, are ALL extremely harmful and my advice to you would be to find a way to stop taking this drug. Vibrant Life refuses to sell ANY of its products to ANY person who takes ANY anti-depressant. Click here for the full story.
No, Life Glow Plus would not interfere with this drug.
No more than the bible would stop a bullet! The bullet will not be stopped by the bible, no matter how holy that book might be.
But, when I know that someone is taking an antidepressant drug I specifically refuse to sell to them. My experience is that people who take antidepressants do very poorly in life, because of that drug, and that normal "remedies" of any type (good diet, vitamins, etc.) will not work very well on them. I also do NOT attempt to give them the name of some alternative drug because there is no alternative other than to stop taking this drug -- other changes may well be necessary, but they will be in the area of diet, exercise, life-style, and most importantly, personal relationships. A person who thinks he or she NEEDS an antidepressant is connected to someone, closely, who is very negative and who is constantly invalidating the person, or making less of them. That connection is usually the primary cause of the problem for which the drug is often seen as a solution. Spotting WHO that person is, and what they are doing, verbally and in other ways, is the primary path of improvement -- never with drugs.
NOTE: After writing this reply to Ruth I had further experience with customers on anti-depressants. They are bad news. They generally do not respond to any good therapy, but only decline in mental and physical health. So, I have adapted the firm policy that I refuse to sell any of my products to any person taking any psychiatric drug. This policy is described more fully HERE.
This drug, Zoloft, is formally listed as having MANY very dangerous "side" effects. These include:

Activation of
Mania/Hypomania -- Weight Loss Seizures Suicide Weak Uricosuric Effect Interference with Cognitive and Motor performance Hyponatremia Platelet Function |
I cannot stress too strongly how bad this stuff is for you.
I would expect you could describe terrible symptoms that seem to require this terrible drug!
I assure you that the drug does not help.
| The drug moves you into a condition of numbness, or apathy, or
vegetable -- these conditions often APPEAR to be better than the former state. They are
not -- they are, simply, closer to death. To a psychiatrist the state of vegetable
is considered an improvement. They will even often use the term
"manageable." The person who prescribed this drug for you is not your friend. I do not know him, but I know, already, he is a criminal. I assume he is a psychiatrist. They are the most evil of doctors and cause more harm than any other medical person. |

I will be glad to receive any further message you wish, but I will NOT send my catalog, because I would not particularly want to have you as a customer. People who take drugs like this will then take an honest vitamin and often get very sick, and blame the vitamin -- even sue. I have no interest in such.
I will not even enter your subscription to The Wednesday Letter. People who are as much under the influence of someone, as you must be, to accept that drug, are likely to cause problems I do not want.
I encourage you to read some of the 1,500 pages on my web site, and to find an alternative to Zoloft -- it is NOT the answer to what you think are your problems.
Regards,
Karl Loren
A reply from Ruth within a few minutes of my letter, above:
Dear Karl,
Thank you for your quick response. I understand what you are saying and I have always believed and participated in alternative medicine. I had anxiety disorder for 15 years and went to a holistic MD. I take a great deal of vitamins reviewed by a doctor in pharmacology and holistic medicine. I go to and get cranial sacral therapy, I go to a reflexologist, I have a chiropractor. I had tried for 15 years every natural remedy for panic attacks before I tried the Zoloft. They tried magnesium, GABA, St. John's wort, valerian, Bach flower remedies, diet, etc., etc. etc. Finally I decided to try a conventional drug with many misgivings. I only take 25 mg. a day. Most patients are on 100 - 200 mg of this drug. My panic attacks have been gone since May and at least for me, the freedom of being able to drive, to work, to not have to worry about going out and having a panic attack is worth it to me.
Your product seems like a good one and I know from my research that the many products that promote oral chelation use EDTA which can't be absorbed. So I will probably buy your product anyway. I understand your honesty and if I have a "problem" with your product I certainly won't blame it on you or your company.
Thanks,
Ruth
