I will be copying your entire comment onto my web page, without your name, of course, and then responding in detail.
I'm not now sure of the spelling, but there is a condition called "Tardiff Dyskinesia" or some such, where the person utters sounds without control, many of those sounds being swear words.
I know this to be true.
It will be covered, as you will eventually see, on my web page, under a FAQ.
Perhaps "your" type of "Dyskinesia" is not "Tardiff Dyskinesia," again, keeping in mind that I have not checked for the spelling.
I understand that Dilantin "prevents" seizures, but it is also true that electric shock treatments by psychiatrists prevent hyper-activity. There are "treatments" which are so barbaric that they should be outlawed, but they persist because simple nutritional, or life-style, or other alternatives are not recommended.
I am sorry that you feel you have to take Dilantin.

I have seen many strange things on the net but this has to be by far the most lame excuse for medical help. NO WHERE in the PDR. or TABERS Medical Dictionary is there a definition for Dyskinesia that says that it will cause you to use swearing that you would not use. You need to go read that again. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in March and was put on Dilantin to control seizures from that. Before I even start taking any drug, I look it up in my PDR to see if there are any question's that I want answered before I take the drug.
People are asking you for advise and this is the way that you help them.
As far as I am concerned my surgeon is a wonderful dr. In fact I have
three good doctors who all agree that dilantin is a good idea. I would rather take it than go into a Grand Mal in the middle of the store.
Dilantin is not a drug that causes the same high that you would get from COCANE in fact it works the opposite There are people who are reading things like this that believe you. What are you trying to do. There are many precautions and "this could happen" with all drugs.
If we read all of them, and didn't take anything because it said that this "could happen" we wouldn't be able to take anything now would we. I think that this site is terrible. You need to go read your so called PDR. and maybe give people the real truth. Lobotomy.....Please.
I have been on 500 mgs of Dilantin for 7 months and have not had any side affects from it. I do not have seizures that I did before though. That is a wonderful thing. No I do not like being on any Medicine and wish that I didn't have to take any at all, but I do if I want to live a normal life as normal as a person with a brain tumor can live one.
I doubt that any of this has meant anything to you and I don't know why I even replayed but you wanted to know what I thought of your site.
