This question is from Mr. M. who lives in London, England, purchased four bottles of Super Life Glow for a friend.
After Mr. M had received the Super Life Glow, and was answering a message from Karl Loren, he wrote the following:
Dear Karl,
In reply to your mail a friend of mine who is diabetic nearly lost his left leg because of heavy claudication in the arteries of both legs resulting in losing left second toe, even after taking 34 intravenous chelation treatments (10 in London and 24 in India).
The blood flow in leg arteries has improved, but not a great deal.
He still has walking with difficulty and diabetes is in complete control of his life.
After receiving info from the internet re your oral chelation and advice for increasing certain amino acids which these capsules contain, he has decided to administer these Super Life Glow capsules for 8 months with minimum required dosage of 10 capsules per day and wait for results at the end of period.
He will definitely be in touch then after treatment.

He also then phoned from London to ask about supplementing the 10 Capsules of Super Life Glow with extra of just cysteine.
Dear Mr. M,
That sounds very promising.
However, 10 capsules per day may not be enough.
The key to "enough" is the quantity of cysteine.
I've just looked over my web site and see that I have really never answered the question of "why" in any convenient place.

Here is a simplified explanation of that same information.
Proteins are foods such as meat, milk and eggs.
When you take proteins into your mouth and stomach, the digestive process converts them into "amino acids."
Carbohydrates, such as bread, convert into sugar. Fats, like the fat in meat, converts into fatty acids. The meat part of meat is protein, and that is what converts into amino acids.
There are NINE different amino acids needed by the body and which cannot be manufactured by the body. This means that your diet must include all nine of these, every day, in order to maintain the integrity of your structure. The body has no way of "storing" amino acids. You need to eat protein every day.
Many other amino acids are also needed by the body, but can be manufactured inside the body from various nutrients.
The nine are listed in the report about amino acids. Generally the names of these amino acids are completely unknown to most people. If you want the technical details, click on that link.

The body uses amino acids to "build structure."
What that means is that every part of the body, including the skin, the hair, the bones,
the organs (heart, lungs, etc), the arteries, and nerves -- you name it -- is built by the
body using amino acids as the building blocks. All your muscles are built from the
amino acids contained in proteins. ALL of those NINE amino acids are required to build ANY structure. If you have zero of one of them, none of the others will do any good! |
Let me simplify this for the sake of illustration.
Instead of NINE different amino acids being required, let's just say that there are three different amino acids needed:
A
B
C
Now, let's also say that these three different amino acids are needed in different quantities for proper balance.
A = 100 units -- 50%
B = 75 units -- 37.5%
C = 25 units -- 12.5%
Total = 200 units by weight
IF, IF, IF some quantity of food contains exactly these same quantities of the three amino acids, then ALL of that food will be converted into potential new or repaired structure. (You can also take in more proteins, even though balanced, than the body can use for structure building.)
| So, let's take some fictional egg, with 200 units of three different amino acids, as listed above. When you eat that egg ALL of the protein can be used for structure. In fact, the egg is the perfect protein because all NINE of the amino acids we need in the body are contained within the egg, in exactly the correct proportion for use within the body. | ![]() |
Now, lets get a different form of protein -- perhaps milk.
Let's just say that milk has the following levels of amino acids:
A = 50 units -- 25%
B = 100 units -- 50%
C = 50 units -- 25%
Total = 200 units by weight
If you use all 200 units of this milk protein, but extract from that total just the amount which is "in balance," you would get the following:
A = 50 units -- 50%
B = 37.5 units -- 37.5%
C = 12.5 units -- 12.5%
Total = 100 units by weight actually used for body building
So, ALL of Amino Acid "A" is used, but the body can only use part of Amino Acid "B" and part of Amino Acid "C." Much of B and C are wasted, perhaps turned into sugar and might add to your fat! They are wasted because there is not enough of "A" to balance them, so less of them is actually used.
Isn't this fascinating.
You are looking, here, at the concept of "balanced amino acids" in your diet.
If your diet includes various proteins such that the A, the B and the C are all balanced in the proper ratio, than ALL of that protein could be used. But, if any one of those amino acids is out of proportion, then that amino acid might become the "limiting factor," and very low percentages of the other amino acids can be used.

You normally don't have to worry about this because most Americans eat such very large quantities of food that they get plenty of proteins to provide some quantity of "properly balanced" proteins for body re-building and structure. |
But, as people get older, or as their diets become rather narrow as to their choices, you may well find people who never get enough of one or another of the nine different essential amino acids. When that happens, these people will have their bodies wasting away. They will lose weight. Their muscles get flabby. They get old!
Now, into this mix of activities let's say that one of the amino acids which is needed in your body is cysteine, and that the balance of other amino acids in your body is such that cysteine is in short supply, in proportion to the other amino acids.
If that is so, and you take a capsule containing cysteine, then that cysteine will go to mix with the other amino acids and be used for body building, structure, organs, etc. The body considers "building structure" to be the most important use for proeteins.
This is not a bad use, you understand, but it is an expensive way to get your proteins.
IF, IF, IF you have a properly balanced amino acid pattern in your protein intake, then you could take extra cysteine (or any other amino acid) and ALL of the extra would be used NOT for building structure but for its "secondary" use -- depending on that particular amino acid.
Cysteine has a special function in the body, but only when it is not being used to combine with other amino acids to build structure.
That special function is to help remove toxic metals from the body. It can do this ONLY if the cysteine is not required to bring balance into the pattern of other amino acids in the body. |

So, you might take 200 mg, or 400 mg of cysteine, and it might be that your pattern of amino acids shows that there is a shortage of cysteine and ALL of that extra cysteine (in the capsule) would be used to combine with the other amino acids and make structure.
However, if you take 1,000 mg of cysteine, and 400 mg of that total is used to help balance the other amino acids, you STILL have 600 mg of cysteine which is free to remove toxic metals.
What is YOUR pattern of balance, in YOUR diet? I don't know. You may eat such a perfectly balanced form of proteins that you never have any shortage of cysteine in your diet, and in your case taking a capsule of 1,000 mg of cysteine would provide the full 1,000 mg of cysteine for removal of toxic metals.
But, if your diet is such, today, or the next day, that your amino acid pattern has a shortage of 500 mg of cysteine, then the capsule of 1,000 mg of cysteine will be half-used just to balance out the amino acids being used to build structure.
You would still have 500 mg of cysteine to work on those toxic metals.
How much is enough cysteine, free and available, to handle those toxic metals? I don't know!
I do know that the Life Glow Plus formula started, 15 years ago, with 750 mg of cysteine and then it was increased to 1,000 mg about ten years ago. It was reduce only when I could add NAC, which is about two or three times more powerful than regular cysteine.
I do know that we have hundreds of testimonials that the Life Glow Plus formula, in every one of its different forma. Now, with 300 mg of cysteine and 300 mg of NAC, we continue to get very good reports of improved blood circulation.
Would 500 mg of cysteine be enough for you? I don't know.
I do know that death from heart disease is not pleasant to think about.
We take risks all the time about our health and you will have to decide for yourself what dosage of Life Glow Plus or Super Life Glow you want to take.
In twenty of Life Glow Plus you get 300 mg of cysteine and 300 mg of NAC.
In thirty capsules of Super Life Glow you get the same.
I think it would be safe to take 700 mg of cysteine, and zero of NAC, but I wouldn't think that anything less than that would give you a safe margin so that you can be sure that you are getting rid of those toxic metals.
I know this is a long explanation, but it explains a lot about the Life Glow Plus formula.
If you take 300 mg of cysteine, you must balance THAT substance with Vitamin C in the amount of 4 or 5 times as much cysteine. That would mean 1,200 to 1,500 mg of Vitamin C. I decided to go for a larger amount just because Vitamin C, by itself, is so valuable.
So, we have 3000 mg of Vitamin C in the twenty capsules of Life Glow Plus.

If you take that much Vitamin C, you need to balance THAT nutrient
with all the other vitamins in a proper proportion. Thus, it is just not as simple
as buying some capsules of cysteine and taking them. To be sure you are getting a safe and effective formula, you would have to get almost all of the same ingredients, and in the same quantities as in Life Glow Plus. |
The OTHER amino acids in Life Glow Plus are NOT required for balance with the cysteine, but they have remarkable effects on your health by themselves, and are well worth taking. They, too, must be in large enough amounts so that they will not get used up for providing structure.
