What About Black Walnut!!??
How about YOUR question here?
Read below or choose another question.
Elaine wrote that she had once taken a liquid oral chelation product, couldn't find more for sale, and asked me what it might have been.
Dear Karl,
I used a product called "HFB" which is an oral chelation. It was
especially effective because it was liquid. I cannot find the
distributor nor the manufacturer. I am interested in finding a
new source for chelation.
I answered as follows:
Dear Elaine,
I am very interested in HFB.
Since the only ingredient I know of which will do the "oral chelation" job
is cysteine, and since cysteine tastes terrible if you eat or drink it, I
doubt if the HFB had cysteine in it.
I used to claim fraud for those oral chelation formulas which
contain EDTA as their chelating substance, or which use small
amounts of cysteine (less than 500 mg). [Note: karl Loren has
changed his position on these points. Click
here to review that data.]
While there is no question that we have the best oral chelation, I don't
always expect others to believe that. Click Here
to review my more detailed reply on why you should get my formula.
When you said "effective," what results were you basing that on?
Obviously, liquid supplements usually absorb more easily than tablets or
capsules -- but just because it absorbs easily doesn't mean it does any
good.
So, what results did you judge it to be effective on?
She replied as follows:
to: Karl Loren
Karl, HFB had a terrible taste. It tasted like drinking black dirt and grass, but I drank it anyway because I felt so much better after about two days (1 T - 3x a day). I don't care how bad it tastes; it made me feel better.
I "had" Lupus (may still be there, but it's not showing up in my blood); and Fibromyalgia. As long as I had the oral chelation -- the symptoms disappeared.
If you know of anything -- please let me know.
Elaine
To which I responded:
Dear Elaine,
That's for sure, good! That it made you feel better.
Well, obviously, I would be curious about the ingredients in that stuff!
I still doubt it was cysteine -- even if it did taste bad.
Cysteine tastes like rotten eggs -- a lot of sulfur smell and taste.
Try Life Glow, or if you feel prosperous, the Super Life Glow. These are the two best oral chelation formulas ever offered for sale -- and I've looked.
Regards,
Dear Karl,
I seem to remember that on the bottle it listed: Black Walnut, G.Kola, Alfalfa (sp),Aloe Vera, Chlorophyll (sp), etc., etc.
Anyway, how much is Life Glow and Super Life Glow? What size are the containers? How often do you take it? What ingredients are in them?
Appreciate it that you've been so quick in answering.
Thanks.
Elaine
To which I responded:
Dear Elaine,
Ah!!
Black Walnut!
I remember my introduction to vitamins!!
First, let me suggest some piece of philosophy very important to life, and particularly to vitamins.
"Any effect is better than no effect!"
So, what that means is that when you take some pill, vitamin, etc., you are hoping for an "effect." You are probably hoping for a "good effect." And, it is certainly true that when you take some substance and don't feel any change, you are stuck with "faith" only to keep on going. (Or, perhaps, "because your mother told you to do it!")
So, of course, we hope for a good effect.
But there is something fascinating about "effects."
That is: whether an effect is a "good effect" or a "bad effect" is often in the eye of the beholder!
So, when I got interested in vitamins -- actually it was herbs first -- I was told that I probably had worms living in my gut! Wow! Not a pretty thing to think about.
So, this herbal mixture was guaranteed to get rid of the worms!
How could you tell if that effect was created?
Well, there I was, like hundreds of others, on my hands and knees, peering into the toilet, looking for those worms!
I never found any!
But, the sure-fire "effect" of that herbal mixture was to give you diarrhea and very smelly stool!
That DID happen -- every time.
So, the philosophy kicked in. Even though I didn't SEE the worms, they could have been there, and certainly "SOMETHING" was happening with my gut!
So, I was pleased to take the herbal mixture, maybe get rid of worms, maybe not!
I sold a lot of that stuff on that basis!
I don't know if anyone ever found a worm!
But, guaranteed, they all had diarrhea, and smelly stools!
So, the fact that this herbal mixture caused SOME effect was, in truth, more important than that it might have actually caused an effect considered to be good.
Doctors worry about this all the time. They give you a pill. It doesn't work! By that they really understand that there was NO effect caused -- either good or bad. So, what do they do? They give you a different pill, or a stronger pill, or more of the same pill. They MUST see an effect first, and then they will decide if it is a good effect or not!
Now, you've had to read a lot, but let me tell you that BLACK WALNUT is one of those wonderful ingredients which guarantees that you will cause effects with the substance.
It was one of the main ingredients used to cause diarrhea!! Another is Black Cohosh!
In fact, I still have the book I learned from more than 15 years ago! It was entitled "Dr. David K. Shefrin's Naturopathic Physician's Handbook."
In that book there was the famous "Formula #7, for vermifuge-parasites:"
"Garlic, Mandrake, Black Walnut Leaves, Quassia! Take four tablets daily for 30 days"
Here is what Dr. Shefrin had to say about Black Walnut Leaves:
"Expels worms from the body. Black Walnut is also one of the foods richest in manganese which is vital for nerves, brain and cartilage tissue. Excellent for the treatment of bilious and intestinal cramping."
For Black Cohosh: "Action: Alterative, diuretic, diaphoretic, expectorant, anti-spasmodic, sedative (arterial and nervous), cardiac stimulant (much safer than digitalis), uterine muscle relaxant."
"Uses: Black Cohosh is one of the finest herbs for relieving pain during menstrual flow and easing child-birth. Excellent in menopause along with Vitamin E for hot flashes. heart tonic and effective in rheumatism."
Both of these ingredients have since been "banned" by the FDA. That generally means that you won't find these substances as single ingredients at the health food store. If they are used in some herbal combination, the amounts will be small.
In May, 1998, the FDA listed Black Walnut as one of the contributing factors in an "adverse effect:"
Chinese Cleanse Nature's Sunshine Products bupleurum, peony, pinelis, cinnamon, dong-quai, fu-shen, zhi-shi, acute, atractylodes, ginseng, ginger, licorice, gentain, Irish moss, cascara sagrada, goldenseal, slippery elm, fenugreek, myrrh, black walnut husk, psyllium, burdock, others.
The FDA makes reference to a "report:"
"MacDaniels, L. H. (1983) Perspective on the black walnut toxicity problem - apparent allergies to man and horse. Cornell Vet. 73(2):204-207 "
I've not read this -- but I know how the FDA works. They pay some dishonest "scientist" to write trash about some herb, get 100 of them, publish them, then quote them as "proof." But, the stuff is NOT as mild as grass!
Are
they dangerous?
No!
But, they do cause effects!
Diarrhea is a very dramatic action -- and, of course, it just the body trying to get rid of stuff. Black Walnut helps de-toxify the body. It is good stuff and the effect is "good," but many people thought it was "bad." The FDA is generally always on the side of "it's bad" if it is a natural substance, and "it's good" if it's a drug!
So, I'm not surprised that this stuff tasted bad, and that it did you some good.
Unless there are some other significant ingredients. there is absolutely no "oral chelation" effect, however. There would be a great "gut-cleaning" action.
And, yes, you might feel great getting your intestines cleaned out, and getting rid of that old accumulated "stuff" which has been impacted in your gut!
So, remember, the general rule is that a vitamin product must cause SOME effect or people won't continue to take it.
The next rule is: "Whether it is a good effect or a bad effect is all a matter of consideration." Many "effects" are considered good by some and bad by others.
When you get sicker than a dog, throwing up, diarrhea, and stomach aches -- you might consider that "bad," while another person might consider it "good."
Which is it?
That is what makes this health world so interesting.
You, by your attitude, can consider that some effect is good, and it will be good for another.
A different person could have a negative attitude and possibly even die from the same stuff!
The mental influence is far more important than people think.
I've recorded a lecture on that, called The Four Roads To Ruin, and will send you a free copy if you wish!
Now, you ask about Life Glow and Super Life Glow???
I have 1,300 pages of stuff at my web site to provide more information on that question than you can find in a hundred other web sites which purport to offer "oral chelation."
Take a look, follow some links, and see what you can find. All the answers you want are on those pages.
If you have a very specific question, get back to me with it.
As you can see I am not afraid to answer and to be rather personal about it all!
Regards,
Karl Loren
