Here An "Expert" Recommends Prozac, Then Comments On EDTA??
Karl Note: There have been many drug-oriented medical doctors who have tried to claim that they are really "alternative doctors." There have also been many "herbalists" who recommend drugs. There are even those who claim that some chemical drug can improve your mind, or your mental ability. I lump all these people in with "suspected enemy" and apply the further test of looking for what they have to say about Prozac, or any anti-depressant drug.
I feel so strongly about anti-depressant drugs in general, and Prozac in particular, that I, and Vibrant Life, as a matter of firm Company Policy refuse to sell any product to anyone taking any anti-depressant drug. Our experience has been that such people seldom obtain benefit from the usual remedies, and do not often benefit from vitamins that help others in the usual way.
In other words, any person taking any anti-depressant drug is a risk to himself and all around him, and will usually NOT do well on treatments with vitamins or even with traditional drugs.
Such people are doomed to a downward spiral of disease and confusion unless they clean their body from the residues of these toxic psychiatric drugs. I know how to clean the body of these drugs.
Here is a quote from a web page where the author endorses Prozac. There is nothing else that could be said on such a web page that I would accept as likely to be true.
Oh! He could speak the truth in areas where a lie would be self-evident, but I just find it safer to suspect all statements made by any such person.

The home page from this site gives them away. They are the "Cognitive Enhancement Research Institute." The philosophical problem with such people is that they believe in chemicals to create and improve life -- these are the apologists for LSD and other drugs -- hidden apologists now that these are recognized as dangerous and illegal drugs. But, they keep looking for chemicals to improve on life. These are what was spawned by the infamous Dr. Wundt, some 150 years ago, and fully exposed in THIS ARTICLE.

Answer: If you are clinically depressed, you certainly should be under the care of a knowledgeble physician. There are a number of causes, and a number of potential treatments. As with smart drugs, there is no “magic bullet,” and the theraputic approach is often empirical (i.e., guesswork). First, there are the obvious causes: either environmental (i.e., situational), or medical (e.g., hypothyroidism). Often, depression is caused by a neurotransmitter deficiency lack or imbalance which can be corrected by nutritional or pharmacological manipulation. For example, if there is a deficit of the stimulatory neurotransmitter dopamine, this may be corrected by supplementation with amino acids like tyrosine or phenylalanine (up to 2,000 mg per day). On the other hand, a mild reversible monamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor like Gerovital (see chapter in Smart Drugs & Nutrients), or a MAO type-B inhibitor like
deprenyl (see SDN v1n1, v1n6) may help. Improving your sleep patterns using a chrono-regulator like melatonin may improve your sleep and increase your mental and physical energy common symptoms of depression. Finally, drug therapy with anti-depressants like prozac is sometimes required.
